Headquartered in the telecommunication corridor, SyChip, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Murata Manufacturing Co, Ltd. SyChip was established in 2000 as a spin-off venture company of the famed Bell Laboratories. The company was acquired by Murata in April 2006.

SyChip is focused on providing highly integrated small form-factor wireless solutions for the mobile device market.  When combining its integrated hardware with custom software, SyChip solutions are ideal for customers developing small hand-held devices that require wireless connectivity.  SyChip provides advanced RF modules for most wide area and short link broadband technologies including Wireless LAN (WLAN), Bluetooth (BT), WiMAX, Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) and Mobile TV.  In addition, SyChip combines several of these wireless technologies with its custom Voice over IP (VoIP) processing engine to create a wide range of mobile VoIP solutions.

With design centers located in the US and Asia, SyChip works closely with leading Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs), Original Design Manufactures (ODMs) and Independent Design Houses (IDH) of consumer electronics.  SyChip provides custom hardware and software solutions for all the major operating systems used in mobile devices along with hardware reference design for all major application processors.   SyChip modules can be found in many of the most popular consumer devices including cellular phones, VoIP phones, smart phones, personal digital assistance (PDAs), smart remote controls and personal music players.
